Vision for the Future

Over 40% of the homeless population consists of single women, single mothers with children and entire families.

Nightly, our chapel service welcomes families that stay afterward for a hot meal. Since our limited facilities cannot accommodate women and children overnight, we must turn them away after they've eaten. We ask for your prayers in addressing the serious need in our community for a Women and Families Homeless Shelter. "Where there is no vision the people perish." Proverbs 29:18a.

Mission Sign

Boise Rescue Mission

The Boise Rescue Mission is a beacon of hope to the homeless in our community. Since 1958, we have been supplying basic physical needs and spiritual fellowship for the down- trodden in our city. "Give a cup of water to drink in MY name." Mark 9:41, is a verse that provides our purpose and our priorities.

We exist only through individuals, churches, businesses and volunteers giving their prayers and gifts of time, supplies, services and money. Through them, we provide the following:

 Food/Clothing/Shelter

The Boise Rescue Mission offers a clean, safe shelter for the homeless in Boise. All clients are offered a hot shower and shave, a hot meal and any clothing they may need. Four meals are served daily. Current facilities allow us to provide sleeping quarters to approximately 60 men and to feed approximately 70 people at one time. As Boise grows, so do our numbers and needs. "...I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land." Deuteronomy 15:11.
